About Volquartsen SureStrike Firing Pin for Ruger 10/22
Light hits on a 10/22 usually come down to the firing pin and bolt fit, and this one is built to tighten that up. The SureStrike uses a firing pin that is .004" wider than factory to reduce side-to-side movement in the Ruger 10/22 .22 LR bolt.
Volquartsen machines it by precision EDM from A2 tool steel, then surface grinds the impact section for consistent contact. It is hardened to Rc 56–58, which helps resist wear and deformation better than a softer factory pin.
