At 1.25-4x with a 20mm objective, this VX-R sits in the low-power scope lane that makes sense for close work, quick target transitions, and general range use. The illuminated Circle FireDot reticle gives you eight intensity settings, so the aiming point can be kept visible without washing out the sight picture.
Leupold’s motion sensor system shuts the illumination off after 5 minutes of inactivity and brings it back on with movement. The Index Matched Lens System and blackened lens edges are there to cut light diffusion and keep the image cleaner, which matters when you’re trying to pick up a target fast on the range.
