German Precision Optics Passion APO Spotting Scope 16-48x65 Green

A spotting scope meant to live in rough country, this 16-48x65 model uses an internal magnesium body with protective rubber armoring to keep weight reasonable without giving up toughness. At 46 ounces, it stays more manageable than a full-size spotter while still giving enough magnification for serious glassing.

The optical side is built around APO lenses to reduce chromatic aberration, with GPObright high-transmission coatings to help with light efficiency. Focus runs through a brass gear helical system for precise adjustment, and the built-in sliding sunshade helps cut glare when the light gets harsh. A locking rotational base lets you set the eyepiece where it makes sense for the tripod position.
