About Sig Sauer ROMEO-M17 Mil-Spec Enclosed Red Dot (M17 M18 ONLY)
The ROMEO-M17 is built around the SIG SAUER M17 and M18, using the SIG-LOC mounting interface and the pistol’s single optics plate mounting screw. It mounts from underneath the slide and reuses the MHS rear sight block and sight block screw, so the fitment is specific rather than universal.
That narrow fit is the whole point here. This enclosed red dot is made for M17/M18 military issue and commemorative pistols only, and it will not fit other pistols. The housing is 7075 aluminum, finished in Coyote Tan, with a fully enclosed, sealed, and purged optical system, plus an integrated gas deflector and anti-reflection grooves on the rear surfaces.
It runs a 2 MOA dot and 32 MOA circle reticle, with the reticles selectable as circle only, dot only, or both together. Brightness is handled by recessed buttons that can be used with gloves, and the optic includes 15 settings, including 3 for Gen 3+ NV devices.
