The sizing die brings brass back to SAAMI minimum cartridge dimensions, sizes the outside of the case, de-primes it, and expands the neck for bullet seating. Vents are built in to help prevent case damage from trapped air and excess lubricant, and headspace is held to minimum tolerances so case body length stays consistent during full-length sizing.
The seater die includes a built-in roll crimper, so seating and crimping happen in the same step.
