Lyman Brass-Smith Ideal Press

Compact enough to leave room on a crowded bench, this single-stage press keeps the footprint small without giving up the heavy frame and leverage reloaders actually want. The cast iron body and steel components give it a solid feel, and the central handle position makes it easy to run from either side of the bench.

It uses compound linkage, a 1-inch diameter ram, and a 3 7/8-inch press opening. That combination lets it handle all pistol calibers and rifle cartridges with a loaded length up to 3.700 inches, so it works as a main press for straightforward jobs or as a second press for a dedicated step in the process.

It accepts standard 7/8x14 dies and standard shell holders. The ball handle is there for comfortable operation, and the powder coat finish rounds out the package.
