About Lyman Pro Die Pack 38 Super
Stainless steel is the big story here. The Pro Die Pack for .38 Super uses stainless size, seat, and crimp dies, so corrosion resistance is built into the set instead of being an afterthought.
The sizing die uses a highly polished carbide ring to cut sizing force and wear, and the spring-loaded decapping rod is there to kick primers out cleanly. The seating die adds a micrometer-adjustable head and a floating bullet seating punch to help center the bullet and control seating depth.
For the final step, the taper crimp die is micrometer adjustable and removes case mouth flare while helping bullet retention. Lyman also notes that these dies work in Mark 7 presses, along with regular progressive, turret, and single-station presses.
