About Forster 7/8" Cross Bolt Die Lock Ring -1/pk
A cross-bolt lock ring changes the way a 7/8"-14 die is held in place. Instead of a set screw biting into the die threads, the ring clamps around the body for a cleaner fit and less chance of thread damage.
Forster supplies these rings with its Bench Rest dies, and the setup uses a 7/64" hex key for tightening or loosening the steel cross bolt. It fits standard 7/8"-14 thread dies from most manufacturers.
