Pietta builds this Great Western II with a hammer forged steel barrel and a frame that is drop forged, then CNC machined. The frame has a casehardened finish, and the walnut grips keep the look in line with the old-school pattern. Pietta also uses wider rear and larger front sights for faster sight acquisition, along with a floating firing pin in the hammer.
