The bolt is 9310 alloy steel, shot peened, and magnetic particle inspected and marked. Fostech pairs it with a shot peened hardened tool steel extractor, a Viton mil-spec extractor O-ring, and three mil-spec gas rings. Across the assembly, the black nitride finish keeps the package consistent, while the carrier uses 8620 steel with a 4130 steel gas key secured by grade 8 screws that are properly torqued and staked to mil-spec.

The rest of the working parts follow the same straightforward spec sheet: a 4140 steel cam pin with black nitride finish and an 8740 steel firing pin that is centerless ground and hard chrome plated. Total weight is 11.6 ounces, and the unit is made in the USA.
