An 18-inch threaded barrel and a 10-round detachable magazine make this Mark II Minimalist an easy rimfire to set up for steady range work. It is a bolt-action .22 LR built around Savage's proven rimfire action, with a matte black sporter-contour carbon steel barrel and 1/2x28 muzzle threads under a cap.
The stock is Boyd's Minimalist laminate design, which gives the rifle a more modern shape than a traditional wood-stock trainer while keeping the feel of laminate. Savage also fits its user-adjustable AccuTrigger, adjustable from 2.5 to 6 pounds, so the trigger can be tuned to suit slow bench sessions or general plinking. Two-piece Weaver bases are included for mounting an optic.
